Activating and managing licenses

Soothe2 and Spiff licenses come with 2 activations, Bloom comes with 3 activations.

Please note, that the activations we offer per license are for personal use only. This is documented in our End-User License Agreement which we ask you to accept when installing our products. Attempting to share your license with others voids the EULA.

Activating a license

Please follow these steps to activate your license on a new computer or iLok USB dongle:

  1. Download and install the iLok License Manager application if you haven’t already.
  2. Open the iLok License Manager on the computer you’d like to activate.
  3. Log in to the iLok account holding your oeksound license/s.
  4. Locate the license you want to activate by viewing all of your licenses on your iLok account.
  5. Right-click on the license and choose “Activate”.

Can't find the license on your iLok account?

If you’ve purchased a Rent-to-Own or soothe2 upgrade license, the license should’ve been automatically deposited onto the iLok account that you specified at checkout. Please contact us if you can’t find it.

If you’ve purchased a perpetual (full) license, you should first redeem your license as per the instructions in this support article.

Can't find the plug-in in your DAW after activating the license?

Please ensure that the plug-in is correctly installed by downloading and installing it again. Then, you might need to perform a blocklist reset and/or plug-in rescan in your DAW to make the plug-in scan correctly. The method for this differs between all DAW’s, so please either search Google for “rescan plug-ins in ‘DAW’”, or contact us for direct help.

Moving an activation to a new computer or iLok USB dongle

If you want to start using a plug-in on a new computer or iLok USB dongle and you’ve already used all your activations, you’ll first need to deactivate one of the active locations.

To deactivate a license from a computer or iLok USB dongle:

  1. Open the iLok License Manager on the computer you’d like to dectivate it on.
  2. Log in to your iLok account holding your oeksound license/s.
  3. Locate the license you want to deactivate.
  4. Right-click on the license and choose “Deactivate”.

How do licenses and activations work?

For rent-to-own and upgrade orders the license is automatically delivered to the iLok account that you specified during checkout. However, the way our full licenses work is that you’ll receive an activation code after the purchase. Once the license has been redeemed onto your iLok account, the code becomes redundant and can’t be used again.

Once on your iLok account, the license can be activated and moved freely between locations (computers and iLok USB dongles). All this happens in the iLok License Manager application. Remote activation or deactivation is not possible.
